Job Description

  • Gericke North America is searching for a field service technician professional for our Somerset-NJ location.
  • The position requires the ability to do installations support, training, and troubleshooting of process equipment.
  • Provide customers with excellent customer service by either attending over the phone or at a customer's facility.
  • Learn about Gericke’s equipment.
  • Electrical and mechanical skills are necessary.
  • Must be able to travel (United States, Canada and Mexico).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with excellent customer service either by assisting over the phone or at a customer's facility.
  • Report and keep track of customer interactions.
  • Travel for installations, training and troubleshooting.
  • Assemble equipment.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Engineering background or current engineering student; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of drawing software 2D and 3D preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and be able to work independently with low supervision.
  • A passion for equipment and customer service.
  • Strong customer-service mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Very good interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.

Compensation

  • Base + benefits.
