Can bulk material handling be gentle and energy efficient?
Dense phase conveying systems are designed for applications where product quality is paramount. Whether powder, granules, flakes or pellets, Gericke's dense phase conveying ensures minimal changes in bulk density and particle size distribution and reduces the risk of segregation. This makes them ideal for industries that require gentle handling of fragile or mixed bulk materials.
A key advantage of dense phase conveying is the use of pressure vessels without rotating parts. This significantly reduces maintenance and minimises the risk of metal contamination. The systems are completely dust-tight and offer a clean and safe solution without leaks. They operate at pressures of up to 6 bar and enable high solids loading with low gas consumption. This results in higher energy efficiency and lower operating costs.
The systems are suitable for a wide range of applications. From the gentle transfer of spray-dried products to the segregation-free transport of mixtures to filling plants and the direct feeding of reactors. They are also suitable for batch weighing, high-throughput transport, conveying under inert gas and the gentle unloading of trucks or railway wagons.
Gericke offers three conveying modes tailored to specific requirements: the ‘DenseFlow’ PHF system for continuous transport at moderate gas velocities, the “PulseFlow” PTA system for pulsed plug conveying at low velocities, and the ‘PulseLine’ PTA PL system, which improves long-distance conveying with external air injectors for maximum process reliability.
Together with Gericke's modern control systems, these systems are not only powerful but also user-friendly, offering intuitive operation and precise process control.
